I love a good routine.
I believe in washing your scalp properly.
I believe in moisturizing your hair.
I believe in cleansing your skin, using your serums, and protecting what you have.
I created products because the things you put on your hair and skin matter.
But there is something I need people to understand.
A product can do its job and your body can still be asking for more.
That does not mean the product failed.
It means you are asking it to handle something that may not belong to it.
Outside care and inside support are different jobs
Your shampoo has a job.
It helps cleanse your scalp and hair.
Your conditioner has a job.
It helps soften the hair and make it easier to handle.
Your serum has a job.
It gives your skin ingredients that support the way it looks and feels.
Those are outside jobs.
But your energy, digestion, sleep, cravings, and the nutrients your body receives are part of a much bigger picture.
You cannot expect a bottle on the bathroom shelf to do every job in your body.
That would be like washing your car and expecting the engine to run better because the outside is clean.
The cleaning still matters.
But it is not the same job.
This does not mean you should stop using products
Sometimes people hear me talk about whole-body support and think I am saying products do not matter.
That is not what I am saying.
Your hair still needs gentle handling.
Your scalp still needs to be cleaned.
Your skin still needs moisture and daily care.
The mistake is believing that outside care should fix every sign you see on the outside.
If your skin looks tired, the answer may include a better skincare routine. But it may also be worth looking at your sleep, stress, food, hydration, and the way you have been caring for yourself overall.
If your hair feels dry or breaks easily, a deep treatment may help support the strand. But you may also need to pay attention to what has been happening in your whole routine.
One does not cancel out the other.
The outside and the inside are not competing. They are working on different parts of the same person.
Why people keep buying more products
When something is not changing fast enough, most people assume they need another product.
They replace the shampoo.
Then they replace the conditioner.
Then they add an oil, a mask, a serum, or another supplement.
Before long, the routine is so crowded that they do not even know what is helping.
Buying more can feel like progress because you are doing something.
But more products do not always give you more answers.
Sometimes the better question is not, “What should I buy next?”
The better question is, “What part of this problem am I actually trying to support?”
Is it the hair strand?
The scalp?
The appearance of the skin?
Your daily energy?
Your digestion?
Your evening routine?
You need to know the job before you choose the tool.
Look at the whole picture
I have spent years looking at hair, skin, and the body as connected pieces.
You are one person.
Your body does not put your hair in one room, your skin in another room, and your energy somewhere else.
That is why I do not like looking at one concern without at least asking what else has been happening.
When did the change begin?
What else changed around the same time?
How have you been sleeping?
What have you been eating?
How consistent have you been with your routine?
What has your stress looked like?
None of these questions means that one answer explains everything.
It means we stop pretending each concern lives alone.
Your body works as a whole, so your questions should work that way too.
Why I created the 30-Day Detox
I created the 30-Day Detox because I wanted to give people a chance to step back and look at their patterns more clearly.
Not just what product they used yesterday.
Not just what they ate at one meal.
The bigger picture.
For 30 days, you can follow a guided process, pay attention to what your body is showing you, and become more aware of how your daily choices may be affecting the way you feel.
You do not have to throw away your hair products.
You do not have to stop caring for your skin.
You simply stop expecting outside care to do the job of inside support.
The next group starts September 7, and registration closes September 3.
You can save $50 with code SEPTDETOX50.
You already know how to be consistent with the products you trust.
Now you can bring that same care to the rest of you.
